Seal Cottage
Tucked down a quiet lane within the centre of the historic market town of Hexham, this charming 19th century cottage has been recently renovated to provide good quality holiday accommodation. This lovely double fronted stone-built cottage is spacious, immaculately presented and well equipped and enjoys the benefit of being only a 10 metre walk from the open expanse of Sele Park where there are views towards the magnificent Hexham Abbey and across the Tyne Valley. Although the cottage is in a secluded position a pleasant walk leads to the town centre where there are many facilities available including a cinema / theatre, indoor swimming, numerous shops and quaint tea rooms. Why not try your luck at Hexham racecourse or sample a spot of fishing on the River Tyne? Golfing enthusiasts will delight in the several prestigious courses close by, including Matfen and the De Vere Slaley Hall. Hexham is often recognised as the jewel in Northumberland’s crown and is nestled in the very heart of Hadrian’s Wall Country – England’s largest Heritage site within the most northerly of National Parks. Vindolanda, Thirlwell Castle, a quarry wildlife park, The Roman Army Museum and Walltown Craggs – the highest remaining section of Hadrian’s Wall - are all interesting visitor attractions within easy reach.
