At the very heart of Hadrian’s Wall Trail (0.25miles) on Route 72 Hadrian’s Wall Cycleway, we offer a 2+plus nights "Trail Walkers' Package" which includes transfers on the Trail. Our guests tell us that we've "thought of everything" and welcome our attention to detail. Our job is to help you enjoy your visit and we continue to work to achieve that aim. We are located in a hamlet at the western outskirts of Gilsland, just 7 minutes walk from Hadrian's Wall itself, on the border of beautiful Cumbria & Northumberland and at the western edge of the remote & awe-inspiring Northumberland National Park. 45 minutes east is Newcastle upon Tyne—via the historic towns of Hexham & Corbridge. 1/2hour west is Carlisle & little further the Solway Coast. Just 1 hour from Cumbria’s Lake District. Once here friends, couples & families are made welcome and can take tea a glass of wine or a locally brewed beer on the garden terrace with great views toward Hadrians Wall or in the homely lounge in front of a log fire. Then enjoy an exquisite home-cooked dinner at c.7pm - local produce organic Fairtrade free-range. 4 bright contemporary-styled bedrooms offer facilities & services such as robes hair dryers TV radio hot & cold drinks. Our spotless bedrooms are carefully designed to meet the needs of the most demanding guests after a long day walking cycling or site-seeing. Comfortable king-size beds with duvets and crisp white linens; ensuite facilities with powerful showers lashings of hot water and luxury toiletries. Polished wood floors gleam throughout; there are racks for your walking boots hooks to hang your packs a drying room secure cycle storage overnight laundry.
